You might have heard about the newly launched Infinix: Hot Note, thanks to the social media buzz around the brand’s hashtag #HotSecret. I got the opportunity to use the phone for a week and I’ll be reviewing it for you guys today.

The smartphone, made by French designers under the global brand Infinix has been launched in Pakistan in collaboration with Daraz.pk

I’ll get into the features in a bit but first let me tell you the most phenomenal fact about this phone. It took me just one hour to fully charge the built in battery and the battery lasted for 3 days*!

Operating System: Android 4.4.2 KitKat
Battery: 4000 mAh
Standby Time: 600 hours
Talk Time: 21 hours
Screen Size: 5.5 inches, 720 x 1280 pixels, 267 pixels per inch

Back Camera: 2MP up to 1600 x 1200-pixel
Memory: 16 GB, card slot allows up to 32 GB memory card support
Processor: 1.4GHz octa-core
SIM Dual Sim
Price PKR. 12,900/-

– The plastic cover is flexible and durable. I dropped the phone a couple of times and it didn’t even scratch. (Don’t try this at home just because I did!)

– Extremely cheap for the specifications

– Even though it is a 5.5 inch device, it is easy to operate on one hand, easy to hold and also comfortable.

– It was impossible for me to play high quality graphics games like Injustice on my android before but since the Hot Note comes packed with a super fast octacore processor and the refresh rate of the screen is fast, the gaming experience is pretty amazing.

– The ‘gestures’ feature is so cool! Double tap the screen to wake up/sleep it.- Draw a “I” to access the dialer- Draw a “E” to access the browser and so on…

– The instruction manual comes in Urdu which made me feel great respect for the brand team who thought of localizing the phone before launching it in Pakistan.

– Built in battery. I tend to overcharge and fry my phones pretty quickly so if I ever do that the device would be useless.

– No 4G, so Warid users will have to buy a new sim if they want to use mobile internet on the device

The device comes with metallic premium finishing in four different colours Anthracite Grey, Champagne Gold, Copper Brown and Mint Green.

Verdict: A huge yes. If you don’t believe me, buy it, just to try it. After all, it is just for PKR 12,900. 😉

Please note, that now most of the phone systems are very much advanced that they will not overcharge the phone. Hence the built in battery on phones are not an issue at all.
Pointing out this, because you mentioned in on “cons”, if you need reference I can send it to you.
